Do you plan to continue your blog even after the course?

I do not think I will continue to blog after this class is over, unless I can think of a certain topic or some idea of something interesting to write about. I love to cook and enjoyed watching that movie about the woman who started a blog about cooking her way through the Julia Childs Cookbook. Now, that was a very cool blog! I guess I do not feel like just sharing my everyday life, thoughts or issues on a blog, because I do that daily with my close friends and family either on the phone or in person.

Research, Research, Research!

Hello Everyone,

My topic is on the mental and physical health benefits of pet ownership or interaction with animals. I was pleasantly surprised to find such an abundance of research, articles and stories on this subject. I thought it was fascinating that people who have Alzheimer's Disease find a sense of comfort and joy from interacting with animals, and that it also makes them more alert mentally and increases their desire to be physically active. I know that my pet's bring me great happiness and are such comforting and faithful companions. My friends and family sometimes make fun of me for having so many pictures of my furry friends; I do not have any children so I guess maybe they are my substitution, I don't know? All I know is that I absolutely adore them.

My Brain (Information overload)

For some reason this semester is stressing me out (just a bit). I guess I just have a lot of things going on and do not have as much time to spend studying as I normally do. My other class is
A & P which has an overwhelming amount of information to learn and attempt to retain. I have to write a paper in that class as well as the one for composition class. This is my third semester at Kaplan University, and it seems to get more difficult each time which is good as it is challenging and not at all boring.

How is school influencing your life at or up to this point?

School is so exciting and interesting to me at this point in my life. I am 45 years old and I feel that I appreciate school more now than I did in my younger years when I took it for granted instead of realizing it is a wonderful privilege full of potential and opportunity. I use to just do the amount of work that was required to pass instead of striving to do my very best; luckily I managed to pass with a (b) average. School is a privilege and I feel so fortunate that I have the opportunity to attend, and I will not be satisfied with anything except 100% effort on my part.

What would you do if somone took credit for your work?

I guess I would be slightly annoyed if someone took credit for something that I created, did or said. Any action that I might take would definitely depend on what it was and how important it was to me, or if it could possibly negatively affect my life in anyway that I might not appreciate. If someone that I worked with intentionally stole my idea or took credit for my work it would upset me. But, I feel that a person who do this type of thing has no morals, values or integrity, and will eventually get their just reward.
